FAQ
What is a Focus Group?
A focus group is a group of about 8-10 people who are chosen from a confidential database to answer questions about a company’s latest advertising strategies. This could include questions about an upcoming television or print campaign, or even new packaging. They want your opinions and will pay you for your time. The average amount is $150.00 but can go as high as $300 depending on the study.

How long do Focus Groups last?
Focus Groups generally last one to two hours and are held in the afternoons and evenings.

Where are focus groups held?
They are mainly held in Manhattan.

How do I sign up?
Visit our website at www.focusrecruits.com. Remember, all information is 100% secured and confidential. However, the more information you provide, the more groups you may qualify for.

Once I sign up, what happens?
After you provide us with your information, we enter it in our secured database. You will then be contacted to see if you match the client’s requirements. For example, the client (Sony, for example) may be researching a new marketing campaign on LCD televisions and need one group of males, with a certain income and education level who make high end purchases between the ages of 40-50 and another group of females with similar requirements. We will ask you a series of questions, like, “Do you make the purchases in your home?” Or, “Do you own a Blackberry?” Your answers will be evaluated and help us determine if you qualify for that particular focus group and if you are available to attend. If you do not qualify, your name goes back in the database and you will be called again. After the study is complete, you will be paid a participation fee in cash/check.”
